IT Support

We offer a full range of IT support and can help with all stages including the design, implementation and support of business information systems. Whether you need support for your IT team or need us to be your IT team, we have a service solution to help.

Services include:

Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure

Many businesses rely on the packages which sit within the Microsoft 365 suite for their daily operations so making sure you have the right licenses and set up for your business is vital. If you have any doubt about what is required, we can help you to make sure everything is set up correctly to bring the most benefit and efficiency possible to your business.

Cloud Solutions

Cloud Solutions is on-demand access, via the internet, to computing resources, applications, servers. These servers can be your own physical and virtual servers hosted in a local DataCentre – Private Cloud or virtual servers hosted in Microsoft’s Cloud Computing Platform, Azure – Public Cloud.

Hybrid Clouds combine your Private Cloud with Public Clouds, bound together by secure technology that allows data and applications to be shared seamlessly.

Being able to access your data from remote locations offers flexibility for your workforce and provides reliability to business continuity offering seamless disaster recovery. Moving forward you can adapt quickly without significant investment.

We can also offer Azure Virtual Desktop solutions to enable a secure remote desktop experience from virtually anywhere.

Backup and Continuity

One of the most important assets of your business is your data. Previously, maintaining the infrastructure on which to build a cohesive backup and recovery plan had been a big financial commitment. However, modern backup and recovery services remove the cost and complexity barriers bringing a recovery plan to support any size of business.

Local solutions offer frequent backups, as often as every 15 minutes with the option to also store in the cloud, protecting backups by encrypting data, and minimising storage by compressing the data. This offers a convenient and resilient backup facility, with high- speed, advanced restoration options to provide a robust disaster recovery in the event of a natural disaster, such as fire or water damage or a security breach by way of a virus or hack. The whole process requires much less staff administration.

Our team of experts can manage the whole process to develop, install and maintain the right solution for your business using the latest technology to give you total confidence that your data can be fully protected and restored quickly.

Protect your data and applications with SaaS – Software as a service – a way of delivering applications over the internet, rather than installing and maintaining software locally.

Internet Connectivity

Internet connectivity is essential for businesses, supporting a wide range of operations and services.

To determine the most suitable type of connection for your business, consider bandwidth requirements, scalability and redundancy.

  • Bandwidth Requirements: Evaluate your needs based on the number of users and the types of applications being used.
  • Scalability: Select solutions that can grow with your business. Ensure that your connectivity options can accommodate increasing demands as your team or operations expand.
  • Redundancy: Implement backup connections to maintain continuous access. This can help prevent downtime and ensure your business remains operational during outages.

We can provide the following types of internet connectivity:

1. Leased Lines

A leased line is a dedicated fixed-bandwidth connection between two locations, often used by businesses requiring reliable and fast internet access.

Key Features:

  • Dedicated Connection: The bandwidth is not shared with other users, providing consistent performance.
  • Symmetrical Speeds: Both upload and download speeds are the same.
  • High Reliability: Service-level agreements (SLAs) typically guarantee uptime, making it highly reliable.
  • Cost: More expensive than standard broadband options due to the dedicated nature.

Suitable for businesses with high demands for secure high-speed and reliable connectivity.

2. Fibre Optic Broadband

Fibre-optic broadband uses fibre-optic cables to transmit data using light, offering higher speeds and greater reliability compared to traditional copper cables.

Key Features

  • Fast Speeds: Fibre broadband provides very high download and upload speeds, though download speeds are usually higher.
  • Shared Bandwidth: While faster, the connection is still shared with other users, which can result in performance drops during peak times.
  • Asymmetrical Speeds: Most consumer packages have higher download speeds and lower upload speeds.
  • Cost: Generally more affordable than leased lines but can vary depending on the service package (FTTP, FTTC, etc.).

Suitable for businesses that need fast internet but don’t require a dedicated line.

3. SOGEA (Single Order Generic Ethernet Access)

SOGEA is a relatively new broadband product in the UK that offers fibre broadband without the need for a traditional phone line.

Key Features:

  • No Phone Line Required: Unlike traditional broadband services (FTTC), where a phone line is bundled with broadband, SOGEA allows users to have internet-only services.
  • Same Speeds as FTTC: The speeds are comparable to FTTC since it uses the same infrastructure (fibre to the cabinet, copper to the premises).
  • Cost Saving: It can be more cost-effective as you are not paying for a phone service.

Ideal for businesses that only need internet access without the added cost of a phone line.
